About

Released in 2000 by Yakima Chief, Simcoe is a landmark variety that helped define West Coast IPA. It delivers piney, resinous character alongside passionfruit and citrus, and its high alpha acids make it efficient for bittering. Notably low cohumulone gives a clean, smooth bitterness despite the high alpha, which is part of its signature.
