Lallemand · ale · Dry

Clean, neutral West Coast ale yeast with high flocculation and a dry finish. Minimal esters let hop character lead — the classic dry-yeast choice for clear, bitter West Coast IPAs.

About

A West Coast ale yeast selected for clean, neutral fermentation at standard ale temperatures, based on a North-American lager-like ale profile. It produces minimal esters so hop character comes forward true-to-addition, and its high flocculation drops a clear beer. Well suited to West Coast IPA and any style that wants clean, dry character without the fruit esters of English or hazy strains.

Brewing tips

  • High flocculation clears the beer fast — ideal for unfined or filtered West Coast styles.
  • Unlike Verdant or Pomona it does little biotransformation, so hop expression stays true to the addition schedule.
  • Attenuation tends to the high end, giving the dry, bitter West Coast profile.
