About
One of the four classic German noble hops, grown in the Hallertau region of Bavaria and considered the gold standard for lager and pilsner aroma. It is delicate, floral and herbal with mild spice and very low cohumulone for an exceptionally smooth bitterness. It is disease-susceptible and supply is often constrained, so it is frequently substituted with Hallertau Tradition or Hersbrucker; it also fades faster than high-oil US hops, so keep it cold and use it fresh.
