About

A Hopsteiner-bred US aroma hop commercialised in late 2023 (formerly HS17701). Its defining trait is an unusually high proportion of selinene (over 50% of total oil), a low-volatility sesquiterpene also found in calamondin oranges and yuzu, which transfers directly into the finished beer for lasting citrus. It also carries roughly 5× the bound 3MH thiol precursors of Cascade, so with thiol-active yeasts it pushes tropical, passionfruit and citrus aromas. Early users describe peach rings and apricot fruit roll-ups with a juicy melon finish.
