About
A Gladfield crystal (caramel) malt taken to a deeper roast, made by crystallising the grain's sugars before an even roast in their purpose-built drum. Dark Crystal adds a nutty, bittersweet caramel flavour, body and deep amber-red colour. It has no diastatic power, so use it with a base malt, and use it fresh.
