About
Weyermann's Vienna malt is kilned slightly higher than pilsner malt, developing a toasty, lightly sweet, faintly biscuity character and a light amber colour. It retains enough diastatic power to be used as a base malt up to 100%, though it is most often blended with pilsner malt for body, colour and a mild toasty-sweet depth. The defining malt of Vienna lager and Märzen, and a useful body-and-depth addition to pale ales and IPAs.

Usage
Self-converting; usable up to 100% but typically 20–50% in a blend with pilsner malt. Adds body, light amber colour and toasty malt depth. Pairs with noble hops and lager yeast for Vienna lager, Märzen and Oktoberfest; a small addition lends malt backbone to hoppy beers.
