Made from unmalted barley rather than malt, roasted slightly darker than Gladfield's chocolate range. It adds a rich roast character and dark, espresso-like flavours with the dry, sharp edge that defines a dry stout. Like all roasted grains it has no diastatic power and is best used fresh.
