A lighter version of Gladfield's Dark Chocolate Malt, roasted to a lower temperature for a lighter colour, giving roasted espresso-coffee and chocolate flavours that suit stouts and porters. Gladfield keep the husk moist during roasting, which limits the bitter, harsh, astringent notes that burnt husks can create, so it stays smooth. Use fresh.
